This is the last summer camp post. This is what Jacob Jester spoke about on the third day of camp.
Sleeping was meant to sustain you, but God wants to wake you up so you can prepare for war. Morning is your do-over. [It is of the Lord's mercies consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Lamentations 2:22-23] Why would we want to miss mercies by oversleeping? Why does God want us to wake up? 1. Wake up for the journey. Anyone who told you that the journey is easy lied to you. [The Lord's anger burned against Israel and he made them wander in the wilderness 40 years. Numbers 32:13] The Israelites were wandering for 40 years. Just because you know your destination doesn't mean you know how to get there. Quitting is easy but pressing on is hard. 2. Wake up for the mountain. [Then Moses went up to God and the Lord called to him from the mountain... Exodus 19:3] There's a reason God brings you through the desert. 3. Wake up for the whisper. You will get more out of God's whisper than a show. [The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.” Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave. 1 Kings 19:11-13] God is in the gentle whisper. It's time to wake up.

MissionIn short, I started this blog because I want to give girls all over the world hope. All of the topics I write about on this blog are things that I have struggled with or am still struggling with. I want to help young women everywhere achieve freedom through Christ. Archives
